Mythology about Karnaprayag

According to the fabled Hindu legend, Karnaprayag is the place where the great Karna, father of Pawan Dev and Kunti committed a serious act of penance. Believing in his absolute dedication and devotion to God and devotion, Karna was praising the Sun God. Sun God appeared before Karna and granted him two protective devices called Kavacha, (an armor) and Kundala (earrings) that had power that was superficial. Some legends mention that Karnaprayag is in which God Krishna performed the funeral of Karna.
