Cancelling your package tour reservation

1.1 Orders cancellation fee – Standard fee
The following cancellation conditions apply to our regular student tours (India, Russia, Norway, Iceland and Lapland). Please note that student cruise trips such as the Pirates of the Baltic Sea Cruise, and tours to sporting events are subject to special cancellation conditions as stated in the order copy and visible when trip booking. 

1.1.1 Cancelling 45 days or more before departure: the customer is charged a service fee of 20% of the total order value.

1.1.2 Cancelling between 44 and 21 days before departure: the customer is charged a service fee of 30% of the total order value.

1.1.3 Cancelling between 20 and 7 days before departure: the customer is charged a service fee of 50% of the total order value.

1.1.4 Cancelling between 6 and 3 days before departure: the customer is charged a service fee of 75% of the total order value.

1.1.5 Cancelling less than 3 days before departure: the customer is charged a service fee of 95% of the total order value.

1.2 Orders cancellation fee – Orders with the Divine Travels flexible cancellation fee

If you have selected the Divine Travels flexible cancellation fee when booking the trip, the cancellation fees are:

1.2.1 Cancelling 45 days or more before departure: the customer is charged a discounted service fee of 20% of the total order value.

1.2.2 Cancelling between 44 and 21 days before departure: the customer is charged a discounted service fee of 30% of the total order value.

1.2.3 Cancelling between 20 and 7 days before departure: the customer is charged a service fee of 40% of the total order value.

1.2.4a Cancelling between 6 and 3 days before departure: the customer is charged a service fee of 75% of the total order value.

1.2.4b Cancelling between 6 and 3 days before departure due to medical reasons: the customer is charged a discounted service fee of 20% if the proper medical documents are provided as stated on this page at point 1.3 

1.2.5a Cancelling less than 3 days before departure: the customer is charged a service fee of 95% of the total order value.

1.3 Cancellation due to medical reasons

Travellers who have booked the Divine Travels flexible cancellation fee and who cancel the trip less than 6 days before the trip departure due to to medical reason (this page section 1.2.4 and 1.2.5) are entitled to receive the order refund minus 20% discounted service fee if the order refund option is not included in their travel health insurance and by providing:

– A medical certificate from a local hospital/doctor in the trip departure place country, including the traveller’s full name and stating the illness type and inability to travel; OR

– A medical certificate from a local hospital/doctor in the traveler departure place country, including the traveller’s full name and stating the illness type and inability to travel, and the copy of the traveller cancelled transportation service from stated country to the departure place.

The date of the medical document creation should be from the few days before the trip and no later than 2 days after the trip departure.

Please, do note that:

A. In case of bank transfer/post costs, the amount will be added to the above-mentioned fee.

2. Orders including travel insurance

If your order includes a health travel insurance, you are entitled to the Medical health insurance refund except for non-refundable costs, e.g., performance tickets, flight tickets, train tickets, pre-paid services, quarantine costs, transfer costs etc., based on the Indian law of Package tours (15.2).
In particular, if you fall ill / have an accident during the trip: the insurance will cover the costs of treatment and any medical fees up to 2000₹  when the proper documents are given.

In case of illness/accidents during the trip, we will require your medical certificate from the local hospital/doctor, including the traveller’s full name and dates of document creation and any associated invoices. The document must be provided in Hindi or English.

3. Orders including flight tickets
If you have booked your flight tickets via Divine Travels and the flight is cancelled or rescheduled causing delays of 12 hours or more, Divine Travels will do the following:

3.1 Refund the cost of the flight ticket and of the trip if you would like to cancel your reservation

3.2 Alternatively, offer a replacement trip with the next flight, depending on the rescheduling options available to the flight company we have used.

3.3 If you have booked the connecting flight ticket independently, Divine Travels is not responsible for any costs resulting from the cancellation of the flight. These include costs of the cancelled flight, the missed package tour and the costs of postponing and rescheduling your trip.

4. Orders cancellation procedure
4.1 Cancellations are registered on working days only: Mon–Fri 10.00–16.15 (Local Time in India), excluding Finnish national holidays. Package change terms are applied from the date Divine Travels reads the notification by e-mail to support@divinetravels.in .Requests received outside of the working hours will be registered the next working day, and fees corresponding to the registration date will apply.

4.2 the orders are refunded to the same payment method used for the order payment:
A- orders paid by credit or debit card are refunded directly to the card
B- orders paid by bank transfer are refunded by bank transfer. You should provide Divine Travels with the following bank details:
  • Account number (IBAN for Indian banks)

  • IFSC

  • Account owner’s name and postal address

  • Name of bank and official address of the branch

4.3 Divine Travels reserves (1) month to proceed tour and activities cancellations.

5. Orders change procedure

5.1 Tour package change fee
The following package change conditions apply to our regular student tours (India, Russia, Norway, Iceland, and Lapland). Please note that student cruise trips such as the Pirates of the Baltic Sea Cruise, and tours to sporting events are subject to special package change conditions as stated in the order copy and visible when trip booking.

5.1.1 For a change to a different traveling group on the same dates and for a change to other trip dates, Divine Travels. charges a service fee same as the cancellation fee or flexible cancellation described at point 1 on this page.

5.1.2 For accommodation change, conditions stated in point 5.1.1 applies.

5.1.3a For name changes: orders not including the Timetravels flexible cancellation fee, Divine Travels. charges a service fee of 20€ until 3 days before the trip departure. Later, the name change is not possible.

5.1.3b For name changes: orders including the Divine Travels flexible cancellation fee, Divine Travels does not charge any service fee until 3 days before the trip departure. Later, the name change is not possible.

5.1.4 For other our package changes (not stated here above in sections 5.1.1 and 5.1.2), Divine Travels charges a service fee of 20€ until 8 days before trip departure. Later, activities cannot be cancelled.

5.2 Tour package change procedure
